Nuy on the Hill is situated in the picturesque Nuy Valley on the R60 between Worcester and Robertson. With incredible views, beautiful wines and delicious food, it certainly is worth the drive from Cape Town.
Nuy on the Hill Restaurant and Deli
With the cellar being located slightly off the beaten track, Nuy Wines saw the need for a specialist venue closer to the popular R60 route and thus, Nuy on the hill was conceptualised in 2015. Their idea was not only to make their product more accessible to the general public and specifically the R60 passer-by, but also to match the fine wine experience with a perfect balance of delicious food set in a relaxed atmosphere.
Opening hours for Nuy on the hill is Mondays to Fridays 09:00 – 17:00 (kitchen closes at 16:00), Saturdays and Sundays 09:00 – 16:00.
Nuy Wines
With their newly released Mastery Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Nuy Winery raises the bar from their entry level Inspiration range, to their next level Mastery range, simultaneously providing wine lovers with an enriched tasting experience.
The wine has a bright green colour with aromas of fig leaf and asparagus on the nose. The palate is crispy and lengthy and has pleasant fruity tones on the finish – perfect for the warmer spring and summer days ahead.
Nuy Winery Legacy Calcareo 2018 is part of the flagship Nuy Winery Legacy range and made to compliment finely prepared cuisine.
The name Calcareo derives from the Latin word for “chalky soil” – representing the chalky terroir in which the vineyards for this wine are cultivated.
This 100% Chenin Blanc was fermented in a combination of new and second filling barrels and matured for 12 months – an elegant white wine with a vibrant lime flavour on the palate.
This wine blends perfectly with rich and creamy, or smoked dishes like wild mushroom and truffle risotto or light smoked chicken salad and will add elegance to any fancy do.

Nuy Winery Legacy Calcareo 2018 is priced at R150 per bottle while the Nuy Winery Mastery Sauvignon Blanc costs R95 per bottle.

The Nuy Winery wine selection includes the Inspiration, Mastery and Legacy ranges.
The Inspiration range offers a wide choice of easy drinking, high quality Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and two popular bubbly’s – an off-dry Sauvignon Blanc and sweeter Muscadel.
The Mastery range will treat your palate to the more complex pick of Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinotage, while Nuy Wine Cellar’s flagship range, Legacy, consists of a white and red blend, Nuy’s maiden MCC, their celebrated Muscadel and Copper Potstilled Brandy and two Craft Gins.
The wine range labels feature a combination of the coats of arms of neighbouring Worcester and Robertson with a depiction of the Nuy on the hill tasting room, restaurant and deli in the background.
