Durbanville Hills has launched a new wine brand called Cape Portrait, inspired by the city of Cape Town! You will notice famous Cape Town sights on their labels such as the colourful Muizenberg beach huts and the Bo-Kaap, cultural festivals, theatre and music, activities such as running along the Seapoint Promenade, Cape Town’s lively social scene, and then of course, the natural beauty of Cape Town’s fauna, flora and Table Mountain. Collectively, all these places, people, natural attractions and experiences portray the essence of Cape Town.
Wine of Origin Cape Town, the Cape Portrait wines reflect the unique sights, sounds and pulse of the city, as a tribute to everyone who calls Cape Town home, and everyone who has made memorable journeys here.
Durbanville Hills Cape Portrait Red Blend 2020
The Cape Portrait Red 2020 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The wine is soft and generous, exploding with red berry fruits and hints of prune, cinnamon and black pepper. A delight to share with friends over casseroles, grilled chicken, lamb chops and berry-infused ice-cream.
Durbanville Hills Cape Portrait White Blend 2021
A blend of Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, the Cape Portrait White 2021 is fresh with crisp acidity, bursting with lime, citrus, and tropical fruit. It’s best served for relaxed dining with dishes such as barbecued chicken, summer salads, simple grilled fish and pan-fried calamari, a perfect partner to the South African outdoor summer lifestyle.

A note from the Winemakers
Red winemaker Wilhelm Coetzee and white winemaker Kobus Gerber say they are truly spoilt in being surrounded by some of the most spectacular views in the world.
Daily we are reminded of the remarkable energy of Cape Town with its diverse cultures, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the people, the natural beauty and of course, the exquisite food. Cape Town’s culture and traditions are deeply rooted, handed down through generations. It’s a place of inspiration, opportunity and variety. We wanted to embody this veritable melting pot in a wine that reminds us all of Cape Town’s unique DNA.
