Various Paarl Wine Farms
Celebrate spring with a Waterblommetjie ‘Makietie’ in the Boland and the best part is that there is no entry fee! Simply bring a tin of food to donate to a good cause.
There are also some pretty amazing items to get your hands on such as…
- Wine in a pouch
- Shiraz Braai Salt
- Red and White Wine Glaze
- Grape Seed Oil
- and of course lots of flowers, Waterblommetjies and wine!
The Shiraz braai salt is something new and despite it being a wonderful pink, it adds that special something to a lamb or even roasted potatoes. Grape seed oil has been around for some time and you can cook with it but I like to use it in my beauty routine. Mix it with sugar or sea salt and enjoy an invigorating scrub – it will leave your skin wonderfully soft!
Waterblommetjie Festival details:
Venue(s): Boland Cellar, Under Oaks, Rhebokskloof Wine Estate and WindMeul Kelder
Date: Saturday 2 September 2017
Time: Most activities start at 9h00
Entrance: One tinned can of food per vehicle
The participating wine farms and cellars are Boland Cellar, Under Oaks, Rebhokskloof Wine Estate and Windmeul Kelder who are pulling out all the stops for a festive start to spring.
Festival-goers can look forward to live entertainment, fun kiddies activities, pop-up stores and stalls, delicious food, wine tasting and much more offered at each establishment. While all wine producers are within a short, convenient driving distance of each other, another benefit is the opportunity to participate in a good cause. In support of the Paarl Haven Night Shelter, entrance fees are waivered on donating one tin of canned food per vehicle when arriving at your first wine farm or cellar.
Waterblommetjie Festival visitors also stand a chance of winning one of four R500 cash prizes! Collect your passport card at any participating wine farm or cellar and stamp the card at each establishment to secure your name in the draw.
