Roast & Co.
With a very successful Women’s Day Brunch in August, Roast & Co. and Veuve Clicquot is following suite with the next Premium Brunch on 20 August, this time with acclaimed chef – Claire Allen.
Claire is a multi-talented food entertainer, entrepreneur and online content curator who has combined a successful career in Marketing with a love for food – a passion which was really ignited after she competed in MasterChef South Africa in 2014. She thereafter launched a career as a SA celebrity Chef headlining at SA’s biggest Culinary show, The Good Food and Wine show and appearing on SABC 3’s popular breakfast show, Expresso to name but a few of her achievements.
Claire has just returned from 3 months in the UK, where she hosted her highly successful Pop Up Restaurant, Share a Taste of Home. Allen tempted both South African expats and adventurous Londoners with the flavours of South Africa: spicy, salty, sweet and above all, tasty. She created faithful examples of dishes like Bunny Chow, Oxtail & Mash and even Pickled Fish.
Guests can expect comfort food, or soul food as Claire likes to call it, with starters such as Mini Flapjack Stacks with Crispy Maple Bacon, Chai Seed and Coconut Cream pots with Fresh Berries and Granadilla as well as Quail Egg-In-The-Middle of Sourdough Toast.
Don’t forget about Claire’s Famous Croque Monsieur which is Sourdough bread with Ham and Cheesy-crème fraiche sauce toasted and is just delicious and available as one of the main options.
In addition to incredible food, a great vibe and flowing Veuve Clicquot, we will also be revealing the November Cover for Essentials Magazine featuring Claire Allen. Guests will be treated to additional surprises such as a fragrance pop-up stand from Bvlgari as well as giveaways from Claire’s Hair Partner, Label M.
Renowned DJ, DJ Anthea Scholtz and DJ Ronald Rowley, will be keeping your feet tapping and body moving throughout the day.
Roast & Co. and Veuve Clicquot promise to keep your Instagram roll beautifully curated with an array of Instagrammable moments, as well as a photographer.
Pssst: There will also be a Roast & Co. and Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar!
