Darling Brew

Darling College is a small independent primary school in the tranquil town of Darling on the West Coast. The School is renowned for its high academic standard as well as the relaxing farm atmosphere.

The School was established in 1998 and ever since 2001 has been hosting bi-annual wine auctions to boost the school funds. These wine auctions have grown in stature and reputation and have become a “not to be missed” event on the wine lover’s calendar. The auction also has the reputation of having an exceptional spread of wine and related items. There is something for everyone.

The main attraction of the event is the auctioning of two full barrels of Groote Post wine. The highest bidder will have the wine bottled and a personalised designer label will be added to the batch. These are great corporate gifts that come at a very affordable price. Besides the barrels, wine from well-known producers, as well as rare wines, will be on auction. This is not an event to be missed.

This event is very important to the School and plays an important role for its future development. Since January 2014 student numbers have increased by 66% which has placed pressure on our existing infrastructure. With Phase One of the site development plan completed we are gearing ourselves for Phase Two. Phase Two will be the building of our Pre-Primary unit. Our Pre-Primary students are called the Darling College Seedlings and they need new classrooms. The 2017 Wine Auction has been earmarked to provide the bulk of the funds to complete the project.
The 2017 Darling College Wine auction will take place at the Darling Brewery on the 20th of May.
